The Pasig River Rehabilitation

The Management of the PRRC is giving serious attention to the findings of the Commission on Audit report with regards to non-operational MRF facilities and MRF equipment. The mentioned facilities were meant to support the effective implementation of a solid waste management program in partnership with various local government units which is key to the success of the river rehabilitation.
We have taken measures to identify possible new sites for the MRFs and are ensuring that all MRF equipment will be rehabilitate and operational within the next six months.
We would like to assure the public that PRRC remains true to its commitment to clean the Pasig River and its tributaries. Currently, a total of 16 esteros in Metro Manila are in various stages of rehabilitation, which involves the transformation of esteros in Paco, San Miguel and Aviles and initiating clean-up efforts in the esteros of Quezon City.
